An excursion up the west coast of Vancouver Island is well worth while.  Follow the highway to Sooke and then to Jordon River.  Three miles beyond Jordon River is China Beach.  A trail leads from the parking lot, through the west coast rain forest to a beautiful sandy beach.

If  time permits, consider taking a trip up the east coast of Vancouver Island and then cross the island through Port Alberni to Long Beach.  Enjoy the wide open Pacific Ocean and miles and miles of sand!
