There are many large, elegant hotels in the City Center of Vancouver.
Although the cost of accommodation is relatively high by Vancouver
standards, it is inexpensive by American and European standards.
The views of the Vancouver harbor, the North Shore mountains and Stanley
Park are breathtaking from the downtown area. If you are situated on the north
west side of the city, you can also enjoy Vancouver's sandy beaches. Views
of the north-shore mountains are best from the north east side of the
downtown area.
Although Vancouver is relatively safe at night, problems with drugs,
prostitution and crime do exist in areas of the city.
