PIEDRA BLANCA is an immaculate and well-equipped holiday apartment
situated on "Monte de los Almendros" (Mountain of
Almond Trees), a picturesque residential area, removed from the
usual tourist destinations but within easy reach of the beaches
and the idyllic coastal town of Salobreña on the COSTA DEL
SOL.
The apartment itself is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, free from
traffic and offering views of the sea and surrounding area. Close
to the apartment there is a large communal swimming pool, children's'
pool, football pitch and tennis court, all within easy reach
and free of charge. Also, in July and August the property can be
rented with a private pool on a covered sun terrace with sea views,
located on the floor above.
The entrance to Piedra Blanca is accessed by a flight of white
steps leading through a small garden and patio. The apartment itself
consists of a bright, naturally lit lounge with a cosy sitting area
and satellite TV together with an open-plan, well-equipped
kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine. There
are 2 bedrooms suitable for up to 4 people. All rooms are tastefully
and comfortably furnished. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
A second bathroom is entered via the lounge.
Salobreña itself is an attractive, white hilltop
town gathered around the remains of a spectacular Moorish castle.
It is approximately 5 minute's drive and has numerous restaurants,
typical Spanish Tapas Bars and several supermarkets catering for
both Spanish and English tastes.
A trip to Granada and its world famous Alhambra Palace is
about an hour's drive and highly recommended. Also worth a visit
are the caves of Nerja and the beautiful whitewashed villages of
the Alpujarras, all just a short distance away. There is also a
9-hole golf course nearby.
The Costa Tropical is situated between the Costa del Sol and the
Costa de Almeria. This part of the coast, with North Africa on one
side and the Sierra Nevada on the other side, is greatly sheltered
against the north winds. Because of the subtropical climate with
320 days of sunshine throughout the year and an average temperature
of 20°C, it is the perfect place for a holiday all year round.
