"Casas del Castillo" Salobreña
"Casas del Castillo" are two beautiful holiday homes,
situated in the picturesque old quarter of Salobreña, high
up on the top of the rise. Salobreña is a typical andalusian
white washed village. Built on a steep rocky hilltop rising dramatically
from the flat coastal plain, it has fantastic sea views along the
Costa Tropical as well as views of the impressive peaks of the Sierra
Nevada mountains. The views from the four terraces of the apartments
is bettered only by that of the old Moorish castle a few meters
higher up. Two of the terraces (one roof terrace and a small terrace
in front of the lounge), are particularly remarkable as they offer
an impressive 360 degree panoramic view over the Mediterranean and
up to the snow-covered summits of the Sierra Nevada.
The location is a very peaceful one, even in the summer months,
as the two apartments are situated in a small lane inaccessible
to cars and mopeds. The apartments themselves were reconditioned
in March 2002 and are modern and well equipped. There are two apartments
available to let, one with 3 bedrooms and the other with 1 bedroom.
All bedrooms have their own bathroom with shower which are tiled
throughout in typical Andalusian fashion.
The 3 bedroom apartment has two bedrooms on the first floor and
1 bedroom and a lounge with open kitchen on the second floor. The
lounge leads out to a small terrace where the roof terrace is accessed.
The small apartment is arranged in the same manner.
To reach "Casas del Castillo" by car is a straightforward
drive uphill through the old part of Salobreña where there
is a parking area by the church, approximately 50 meters from the
apartments.
The sea is about 3 km away, where guests can relax, sunbathe and
try out a fine selection of fish restaurants along the promenade.
Granada is a 45 minute drive and the Sierra Nevada ski slopes are
an hour away. The beautiful white washed villages of the Alpujarra
mountains are also within easy reach.
