How do I determine my cable modem usage?

Print This Article | Email This Article
ISSUE
What is my Cable Modem Usage, or Throughput or Overage?

HOW-TO

Our website contains a link for checking your cable modem usage. This will display the same information that GCI uses to see your cable modem usage. Keep in mind, that this information is only updated every 24 hours, and is not real-time reporting.

To determine your current usage, do the following steps:

  • Go to the home page at http//:www.gci.net or scroll down to MORE INFO for a direct link.
  • Under the Quick Links section, click on the Cable Modem Usage Link.

  • This displays a new pop up window.

  • Enter your MAC address into the text box. (Clicking on the words "Need help finding your MAC address" will show where to find and how to enter your MAC number). Do not use the colons(:), just enter the characters.

  • Click the submit button.
  • Displays a new screen with your usage.
