Upload your MP3 files to get in the charts

New audio gets uploaded to Record Scout the first week of every month. Follow the instructions below to make sure your audio is heard by Record Scout visitors. If you would like Record Scout to review your material then please sign up (it's free) and post us your CD. If you would like us to delete an old MP3 file that you have previously uploaded the please contact us. We will only add 1 track from each band to the MP3 player, the first one alphabetically listed, so if you want one removed, don't forget to let us know before we remove it from the server.

Upload Instructions for MP3 files

Please make sure you use the format as listed below to ensure your correct listing.

Only one track per group. If you upload a new track it will overwrite the existing track but only when we next update the MP3 files.

Your MP3 file will need to contain the name of your band/ group and the track name in the following format.

NAME : TRACK NAME.mp3

For example the band is called 'My Band' and the track is titled 'My Track' the MP3 file will be called:

my band : my track.mp3

The FTP details are:

ftp.recordscout.com
Username: recordscout
Password: records

We update the MP3 files every month. If you want us to delete an MP3 file you have uploaded please contact us.

FTP must use Passive Mode. You can FTP via Internet Explorer, or just software like CuteFTP. Free FTP software: http://www.ftpx.com/
