my girlfriend Christina and I on the"Full Day Waterfall Hike."
We were recently discussing (reliving?) the hike and wanted to let
you know that it was without question the most memorable day we spent
on our vacation. Your seemingly endless knowledge regarding the island
and your excellently planned route made for an experience that we
will never forget. Thanks for making our vacation truly one of the
best times we have ever had. When we make it back to Maui we will
definitely be interested in taking another hike. Hi Randy ! Randy, Hi Randy, The day before our hike, my
wife and I explored the general area we would be hiking by car and
found it to be breathtaking. However, it was not until the day of
our hike that our guide, Randy Warner, was able to lead us away from
the paved roads and crowded beaches to a refreshingly undisturbed
wilderness rain forest hike through the West Maui Mountains, leading
up to a 30 foot waterfall. The previous day we did not realize the
hidden beauty of the area that we were only skimming through by car.
Unbeknownst to us, we actually even drove by the trailhead we were
to hike and had no clue it was there. Additionally, Randy supplied
us with an informative narrative ranging from the fauna and flora
of the ecological environment to the history of the area. Finally,
I found Randy to be extremely courteous of the varied hiking levels
of our group and just a genuinely enjoyable companion to stroll through
a unique and beautiful natural environment. He truly added value and
enjoyment to our vacation. I feel lucky that I found his website and
I will employ his services on any future trip to Maui. Randy, Randy thank you so very much
for our wonderful hiking adventure. We have had the pleasure to visit
Hawaii four times but had never hiked on Maui. Our day hiking trip
with you was the most enjoyable adventure we have participated in
while visiting the islands. We have biked, scuba dived, snorkeled,
parasailed, took helicopter rides and horseback rode; however, the
hike still comes out on top. Thank you again for a wonderful day.
We plan to call you again when we vacation on Maui!! The Rainforest Hike provided
phenomenal views. The waterfall-laden cliffs of the surrounding valley
dwarf the Needle as they stretch into the sky and are lost in the
clouds. On the way to the top, we saw guava, strawberries, and awapuhi
(the shampoo ginger!) growing. The waterfall hike is a phenomenal
way to cool down after the rainforest hike. The apple rose trees provided
shade and the water cooling from the sun. The bamboo forest was one
of the day's highlights. We highly recommend both hikes. “Hi Randy: I can tell you that to this day I have regular dreams at night about where we went and I have such a strong desire to come back soon. Anyway, I’ve been telling everybody how great a hiking guide you were/are and I have several people who will be contacting you shortly about hikes.
