An unaccompanied minor is defined as one or more children age 5 through 12 traveling without an adult age 18 or over. Children under 5 years may not travel without a parent or legal guardian. Unaccompanied minor service is also available as an option for children between the ages of 13 and 17.

When booking travel for an unaccompanied minor please be advised of the following:

1. After completing the online booking, please contact Era Reservations at (800) 866-8394 to provide information about the person dropping off and picking up the unaccompanied minor. Please provide the name, relationship, phone number and address of both parties. Please note that it is required that the person dropping off the child stay with the child until the flight departs and that picture ID is required at the airport for both parties.

2. As with most airlines, unaccompanied minors may not travel on Era flights departing between 9:00pm and 5:00am, or connecting to flights departing between these hours. Passage will be refused to an unaccompanied minor booked on a flight between these hours.

3. There is a service charge of $10 each direction for travel solely on Era for up three minors traveling together. The unaccompanied minor service charge is not included in the ticket price, and must be paid at the airport on the day of travel. Service charges are non-refundable.

4. For connections to another airline, the service charge is $30 each direction in addition to the other airlines service charge. Transfers to other airlines are only available if the connection time is less than two hours. The Era agent at the point of origin will verify that service charges to be paid to the connecting airline are arranged or collected at check-in, if this has already been paid please be sure to bring proof.

5. Web Check-in is not available for unaccompanied minors, and must be completed at the airport. Please be sure to check-in a minimum of one hour prior to departure.

Please call Era Reservations at 1-800-866-8394 to provide guardian information for the person dropping off and picking up the child. Please note that it is required that the person dropping off the child stay with the child until the flight departs.
