Partners 2000
Partners 2000 is a nationwide five-year employment project designed to facilitate competitive, community-based employment for 250 individuals with significant disabilities. In partnership with several UCP affiliates, UCP National staff provides training, coordination and technical support to affiliate staff that work directly with individuals seeking employment across the nation. Participating affiliates are:

A National Business Advisory Committee, whose members provides support and guidance to the project, ensures that the employment of persons with significant disabilities is truly a partnership between employers, the UCP network and individuals seeking employment.
In providing services, UCP uses the Vocational Profile, a method that was refined by UCP and which has been continuously evaluated and improved upon over the last ten years. The Vocational Profile allows for a person-driven process that ensures that the needs, wants, likes and dislikes of individuals are carefully considered throughout the employment process.
Partners 2000 is jointly funded by UCP and the US Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration, Projects with Industry program. Currently in its fifth year, the Partners 2000 grant has been extended until April 30, 2004. For more information, please contact UCP.
