family were we spent the night. In the afternoon we finish our day
with a view of a nice sunset over the lake. |

We start early and together with our guide, you will have
the opportunity to explore the fascinating island of Taquile.
The men wear tightly woven woolen caps and always seem to be
walking around the island knitting them. They call this island
also “the island of the knitting men” The scenery
is beautiful and there are no cars, bikes and only a few dogs.
After a hike and a good meal we return by boat to Puno. |
Tour to Colasuyo and Sillustani. 1 day. |
|
The Inca’s
divided their Empire in four Quarters known as “Tahuantinsuyo”.
Today you wil visit one of them: the Collasuyo, named after the tribe
the Collas. The colla people buried there dead in Chullpas which we
will see in Sillustani. If you lucky you will see cuys. In the afternoon
you are free to visit the city. The Plaza the armas and the market
in Puno is very interesting. |
Excursion to the village of Chucuito. Half day. |
|
Chucuito is located 18km south east of Puno. The small town has two attractive colonial
churches: the Santo Domingo and La Asuncíon. There is also a
fascinating archaeological site consisting of dozens of huge,
phallic stones. Women who want to have children come here to sit on
them and they believe that this makes them more fertile! |
After Lake Titicaca Puno, most of Peru4U's customers
