Gare Nice-Ville (Nice-Ville Railway Station)

Nice's main train station on Avenue Thiers is 1.2 km north of the beach. There is fast, frequent service (up to 40 trains a day in each direction) to towns along the coast between Saint Raphael and the Italian border, including Antibes (25 min), Cannes (40 min), Menton, Monaco (20 min) Saint Raphael (45 min) and Eight TGV trains to Gare de Lyon in Paris (5 1/2 hours). From June to September there are trains every 20 or 30 minutes from 5 am to 11.00 pm. The rest of the year, trains run at least once an hour. The information office, which gets very crowded in summer, is open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 6.30 pm.
