Dolphin and Whale Watching
Golfo Dulce Tours on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula

Dolphin Watch And Gulf Tours Aboard the Delfin Blanco

Be picked up on the dock by the Delfin Blanco Tour Boat and take a Four Hour guided cruise along the Gulfo Dulce. This boat was especially designed for Dolphin and Whale Watching. It is 50ft long with a wide open upper deck for unobstructed viewing.

We have music, lots of shade, (where the view the dolphins and whales is still excellent) and plenty of space to sit and relax. We also have a toilet and fresh water shower on board. Come along, swim and hang-out. Watch Dolphins play in their own environment, and enjoy the fantastic scenery along the Gulfo Dulce.

Water, Beverages, and Snacks are included on this trip.

Join us on a fantastic journey along the scenic shoreline of the Gulfo Dulce.

The Gulfo Dulce is one of the deepest Gulf's in the world; on some places on the Golfito side it's more than 1,000 ft. deep.

Due to the many rivers that flow into the Gulf from the surrounding Rain Forest, the water in the Gulf is rich with minerals and provides a healthy food source for many marine animals and mammals.

December to May is prime time to catch a look at Humpback and Blue Whales breeching. They come into the Gulf to give birth to their young. They live there for many months while the calves grow until they are able to take to the open sea.

There are three species of porpoise that live and breed year-round in the Gulf, including the Spinner and Bottle-Nose Dolphins, and the Black-Spotted Dolphins. You can see these fantastic creatures daily along the rivers playing, swimming, and fishing.

Other possible sightings in the Gulf may include, manta rays, 6 different species of turtles, large schools of tuna feeding, and an occasional billfish, such as marlin or sailfish, looking for those schools of tuna for their dinner.

There is so much birdlife along in this area, we can not begin to name them all. The Gulfo Dulce is an incredibly scenic and environmentally important aspect of this area and should not be overlooked.
