Two-Factor Authentication Under $10 TCO per user per year
The VeriSign Competitive Token Upgrade Program
allows enterprises to dramatically reduce their costs by replacing existing
and expensive proprietary, two-factor authentication systems with new,
state-of-the-art one-time
password (OTP) tokens and the VeriSign Unified Authentication
platform!

This cost-effective solution enables enterprises
to deploy strong authentication across their networks, and free them
from solutions that place a heavy burden on IT resources, force unnecessary
token upgrades, and drain budgets over the course of their service agreements.
The solution includes both hardware and software and is priced under
$10 TCO per user/per year.
Program Highlights
The Competitive Token Upgrade Program offers
an attractive package to complement the superior technical solution.
For enterprises deploying a minimum of 500 seats, VeriSign will offer
a One Time Password (OTP) solution that includes a one time hardware
token fee of only $14.99 per token with a $4.99 per user/per year subscription
fee. Three and five years subscription programs are available.
With a five year subscription, Total Cost of Ownership amounts to only
$8 per user/per year, demonstrating that two-factor authentication can
now fit the tightest IT budget!
The VeriSign Token Upgrade Program will be
available direct from VeriSign on March 1, 2005 and through VeriSign’s
Channel beginning in July 2005. The program expires on December 31,
2005.
VeriSign Unified Authentication OTP tokens
feature technology proven by millions of end users of enterprises and
financial institutions around the world. These OTP tokens utilize
the OATH algorithm (http://openauthentication.org),
the industry-standard OTP algorithm ensuring compatible interoperability
with any current or future OATH-compatible device. The Competitive
Token Upgrade Program makes these high quality tokens available at a
remarkably low price and includes a warranty for the life of the subscription.
Migration Made Easy
The Unified Authentication solution is designed
to operate in parallel with legacy two-factor authentication technologies,
including legacy tokens. This provides customers with the flexibility
to progressively migrate their user base over time (e.g. as legacy tokens
expire), therefore ensuring the smoothest possible migration.
To assist with the migration, VeriSign will
work with your technical team to develop a migration strategy that includes
an interim architecture allowing the VeriSign solution to work in parallel
with your existing solution. During this transition period, it
will be invisible to the end user community which solution they are
using to strongly authenticate. VeriSign will also work with your
team to develop a scheduling and communication plan to migrate users
with minimal productivity impact.
The Competitive Upgrade Program is geared for
customers running existing legacy systems from certain manufacturers. To
