The following

Payment Services.
Will the service stay the same?
The VeriSign services you use have not changed.
PayPal is committed to providing customers with the same level of service
you expect from VeriSign.
Where do I go for support of my VeriSign Payment
Services product?
VeriSign Payment Services merchants should
contact Payment Services support by phone at 888-883-9770 or by e-mail
at vps-support@verisign.com.
Will product support change now that VeriSign
Payment Services has become a part of PayPal?
VeriSign Payment Services engineers and support
professionals are moving over to PayPal as part of this acquisition.
You will enjoy the same level of service from experts who know your
product best.
How do I contact my sales account manager?
Your account manager remains the same; however,
their e-mail addresses and phone numbers have changed as they are now
part of PayPal. If you call the current number you will hear a
recording of the new number. E-mails are automatically being forwarded
to the correct recipient at their paypal.com e-mail address.
Why did PayPal purchase VeriSign Payments
Services?
On November 18, 2005, PayPal acquired VeriSign
Payment Services business.. Through this combination, VeriSign Payment
Services customers and PayPal customers will now have access to the
industry’s most comprehensive offering of online payment products.
What changes are planned to the acquired VeriSign
products?
As of now, PayPal’s intent is to operate the
VeriSign Payment Services as a standalone service offering. PayPal’s
plan is that this acquisition will not visibly affect your current service
and your VeriSign product and interaction with customer support will
continue to function just as they do today. VeriSign Payment Services
will be added to PayPal’s existing suite of services, not eliminated.
You will be able to choose to continue online payments through Payflow
Pro or Link as you do now or you can choose to use one of PayPal’s hosted
or non-hosted payment solutions.
Will PayPal phase out VeriSign’s Payflow Link
and Payflow Pro?
PayPal has no plans to force customers to use
PayPal only. Payflow Link and Payflow Pro are very strong products,
with many features and functions that merchants value. In fact, PayPal
is fully committed to developing new enhancements that will keep these
products in the lead in online payment services. We will update you
as these enhancements become available.
Can I expect any significant disruptions to
my former VeriSign service?
No. VeriSign Payment Services will continue
running as usual. PayPal has acquired the technology and people to assure
a seamless transition.
Will I be required to sign up for a PayPal
account?
No. PayPal has no plans to require VeriSign
Payment Services customers to sign up for a PayPal account.
May I choose my own merchant bank if I want?
Yes. Going forward, you will be able
to choose your own merchant account. Merchants who have an existing
relationship with a financial institution can still use them to sign
up for an Internet Merchant Account. Please check with your bank for
more details.
Will this acquisition impact the security
of the VeriSign gateway products?
No. PayPal will continue to provide you
with industry leading solutions for secure, reliable payment services.
Will I have to offer PayPal as a form of payment?
No. The decision to accept PayPal as
a form of payment is entirely up to you. It is not a requirement.
Do I have to use the PayPal logo, can I continue
using the VeriSign logo?
Currently you can continue to use the VeriSign
logo; however, this could change in the future and you will be notified
at that time.

fees, etc.?
