This special offer takes you to the island of Mljet in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
This gem of an island is said to be among 10 most beautiful islands of the world.
On arrival, you are brought to Dubrovnik Old Town for a guided walking tour through the polished marble streets of
this heritage fortified township.
Easing into the Croatian charm and pace, enjoy a relaxed meal at a local restauant in Old Town.
Your ferry to Mljet then takes you across the crystal waters of the Adriatic Archipelago to the island reputedly written about by Homer in the Odyssey.
While this is unproven, records show the Greeks knew of the island in 4BC where its reputation was already established.
The name Mljet, derives from Roman and Greek times where it had the name Melita, or (Melitte nesos), meaning "Island of Honey", hinting at its ancient richness.
Your ferry journey across the archipelago is long enough to wind down with some refreshments and ponder its heritage and largely unspoilt character and beauty.
This green island is steeped in history and is justifiably one of the greatest national treasure of Croatia.
Over half the island was proclaimed a National Park in 1960.
On arrival at Mljet, a short bus ride over the island through quaint historic villages past Roman ruins and hilltop nature
parks to the Odisej Hotel at Pomena Marina, where you can relax in your own room overlooking the bay before commencing work in
this little paradise.
The program includes 3 half-day conference sessions and during breaks and time out,
you will want to explore as the place is so beautiful .
