Luton Airport SecurityLuton is one of the many regional airports in the UK and is ranked the 7th largest. It services both domestic and European destinations, including many of the budget airlines, but not long haul flights. A new terminal was opened in autumn 1999 with 60 check-in desks, 'state of the art' baggage handling and passenger information systems. Enhanced security measures means the checking in can take longer than it used to. It is advised that you arrive at the airport in plenty of timeInternational
flights - check in 2 hours prior to departure Luggage limitations
For scheduled international flights, most airlines recommend that you
check in two hours before departure. If you have only hand luggage, you
may be able to check in later, but don't cut it too fine. In these security
conscious times, delays can occur unexpectedly, and you risk having your
plane take off without you if you haven't given yourself enough time.
Some airlines close check-in 20 minutes before scheduled takeoff time. |
