The Department of State's FY 2005 Performance and Accountability Report [pdf, html] and the Highlights [pdf] provide performance results and audited financial statements that enable Congress, the President, and the public to assess the performance of the Department in achieving its mission and managing its resources. The report contains a concise overview, Management's Discussion and Analysis, as well as performance and financial sections. Additional details of performance results and program evaluations can be found in the appendices.

At this time, the Highlights is only available in portable document format (PDF). A fully Section 508-compliant Highlights will be available by January 15, 2006.

Printed versions of the FY 2005 Performance and Accountability Report Highlights, which include a CD containing the full Report, will be available for public distribution after January 31, 2006.
