There are many things to see and do when you stay at Thayer's B&B; besides attending a Sassy, Jazzy & Jazz Vocal Comedy Review & Dinner show, getting into character for a Murder Mystery Dinner, enjoying a ghost hunt right here at Thayer's, you can go snowboarding or down hill skiing at near-by Powder ridge or simply enjoy the many lakes that are in walking distance. You can shop for antiques or bargains, golf fish, you will be amazed! If we don't have a dinner show, there are a number of good places to eat, dinner clubs, sports bars & restaurants close by.
Originally built as a Rail Road Hotel, Thayer's, with its unique galleries, (porches) has been the focal point of this area since its construction in 1895. Annandale, Minnesota has been known as the place to recreate since the 1890's and still offers beautiful lakes, golfing, boating, fishing and swimming plus hiking and birding in Lake Maria State Park. For antique lovers, a vast assortment of well stocked antique shops are close by and for power shoppers, the Albertville discount outlet mall is about 25 minutes away.

A perfect example of balloon framed buildings built in 1895 with Soo line Rail road funding, during the times when rail roads were making paths to the West coast. Thayer's Historic Bed & Breakfast is enchanted (haunted); the ghosts, spirits of Caroline and Gus Thayer and many others visit regularly. It is Gus who leaves pennies for guests and it is many other of his friends that stop in for a visit now and again. Thayer's has three resident ghost kitties and a myriad of sightings have taken place here. The most recent published sightings were when WCCO TV, a Minneapolis based TV station, did a piece on Thayer's; they brought in Gina Booth, cofounder of the Minnesota Paranormal Investigative Group to check Thayer's out.
