Learn about how to prepare for hurricane season. This site also provides a hurricane evacuation route map for both Gulf Coast and Atlantic Coast regions. Hurricane season is from June 1st - November 30th.

Georgia DOT crews will construct a four-lane divided roadway across Interstate 285 from Hammond Drive to Lake Hearn Drive in DeKalb County. This project is designed to improve mobility by reducing traffic congestion in the Perimeter Center district.

In an effort to reduce evening peak traffic congestion in the downtown area, Georgia DOT officials are currently installing ramp meters on Interstate 75/85. The ramp meters, which are similar to traffic signals, will be installed on the south bound entrance ramps at Spring and Williams streets, Ellis Street, Edgewood Avenue and Freedom Parkway.

Georgia 400 Construction/Rehab and Safety Program
The Georgia DOT is conducting a concrete rehabilitation and safety enhancement project on the Georgia 400 corridor in Fulton and Forsyth counties. This project will include the construction of 12-foot concrete shoulders to allow bus access.

Georgia DOT crews have begun a construction/safety project to install cable barriers in the medians on GA 400 north and southbound lanes, from I-285 to I-85 in Fulton County.
