University positions are advertised daily in the ETSU Employment Opportunities listings. Typing tests are given to all applicants for clerical positions.  Accommodation is available to applicants with a disabling condition when applying, testing, or interviewing for a position. Contact the Office of Human Resources to request accommodation, (423) 439-4457 (voice only) or (423) 439-4710 (TDD only).

As of now, the office of human resources does not process any form of electronic employment applications. Applications and resumes cannot be accepted via e-mail but can be received through paper mail or fax (423-439-8354).

To apply for a position, please contact the university as specified in the advertisement.

Faculty and administrative positions must remain open for a minimum of 30 daysClerical and support staff positions must remain open for a minimum of 14 daysPositions will remain posted until the stated deadline date or until the position is filled.  If you have questions concerning the availability of administrative or faculty positions previously posted, please contact the office of Human Resources at (423) 439-4457 (voice only) or (423) 439-4710 (TDD only).

ETSU Security Information

East Tennessee State University makes available to prospective employees the ETSU Security Information Report. The report is published annually and includes the following information:

  1. campus policy regarding the reporting of criminal activity

  2. campus policy concerning facility safety and access

  3. campus policy concerning law enforcement

  4. information regarding safety and crime prevention programs

  5. campus policy regarding the sale, possession and use of alcohol and illegal drugs

  6. information regarding drug and alcohol education programs

  7. campus policy regarding sexual assault programs to prevent sex offenses and procedures to follow when sex offenses occur

  8. description of procedures for preparing annual disclosure of crime statistics

  9. campus policy allowing disclosure of crimes on a voluntary, confidential basis

  10. campus policy concerning crimes disclosed to a pastoral or mental health counselor

  11. campus policy concerning the recording of student criminal activity at off-campus locations

  12. timely warning procedure (campus crime alerts)

  13. crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years.
