The
Hotel Toledo is located in an old three storeyed building,
completely renovated with modern furnishings. It has 18 rooms,
all with bathroom, shower, hairdryer, direct line telephone,
TV, alarm, radio, safe, centralized heating, air-conditioning
and ventilation. It's adjacent to the Nuovo Theatre in the
middle of the historical centre, in one of the oldest parts
of the City; the Old Naples of Via Toledo. This part of the
City got its name from King Pedro of Toledo, who ruled from
1532 to 1553 and was the road of Neapolitan artists, and which
Stendhal fell in love with. At the foot of Via Toledo, on
arrival at Via Roma, visitors will find themselves in front
of the Royal Palace and the romantic walk of Santa Lucia towards
the Castel dell'Ovo (Castle). The position in the solarium,
with its pleasant hanging garden, is dominated by the Certosa
of San Martino and the Sant'Elmo Castle. It's surrounded by
offices, services, commercial centres close to the Beverello
Pier, from which visitors can catch ferry boats to the islands
of Capri, Procida and Sorrento. Trains also depart from nearby
for the archaeological areas of Cuma, Miseno and Pozzuoli:
the cable-railway for Vomero and the underground station.
In the immediate vicinity there's the bus transit station
for Capodichino airport.
