East Tennessee State University's Division of University Advancement
was formally established in 1994 to better serve the university's
growing number of alumni and friends. The new organizational
structure allowed academic fund raising efforts to unite
with goals to increase alumni support for university programs.
Despite the relative youth of the University Advancement arm,
ETSU boasts a long tradition of success in its fund-raising
nucleus the ETSU
Foundation.
Our volunteer leadership and administration
are working to raise ETSU's Margin
of Excellence. This margin is defined as the extension
of private financial support for students and the educational
mission beyond the realm of state and federal funding.
