Mr. Scott Goodsell, Partner, Campeau Goodsell Smith Two of my employees decided some months ago that they wanted to pursue
a paralegal certification...... Ms. Theresa Marmo, former Managing Attorney, Debevoise & Plimpton I have known Mark Geller for over twenty years, and always he has been an innovator in the creation, organization and dissemination of legal information. Almost the entire New York legal community has used the case management system he created and refined, as well as his creation of programs and databases to electronically and efficiently access valuable timely court information. Not only does he generate ideas, but he has the will, energy and creative gifts to put those ideas into action. Mr. Joseph Schubin Esq., Partner, The Law Firm of Schubin & Isaacs Recently, one of my employees expressed a desire to enroll in a paralegal program given at the local university. Upon researching many programs offered, both at colleges and online, I concluded that your program offers her precisely what she needs. Your course material is well organized and easy to understand. The online classroom session I sampled was a comprehensive overview of the assigned material. In my opinion the quality level of your program is excellent. I will certainly recommend your program to other members of my staff. Brent Myers, PTI graduate As you know, I researched paralegal schools thoroughly before deciding to come to ParalegalTech. My criteria included the delivery method of the course material, the quality of the instruction, the quality and quantity of the substantive law contained in the course material and lectures, and the quality and quantity of feedback received through exams, essays, and classroom participation. After reviewing about 10 schools, both online and traditional delivery, I found that ParalegalTech’s approach was so well designed; the decision was not even a close one. When comparing [another school] ’s Civil Litigation course to ParalegalTech’s, the [other school's] course is divided into two eight-week sessions, ParalegalTech’s course, is one 5-week session. The topics are identical. However, ParalegalTech provides more educational substance comprised of but not limited to, detailed courseware, case law examples, hypothetical fact patterns to clarify legal concepts, audio lectures that may be downloaded and reviewed at anytime, and detailed feedback on written assignments. [The other school] offers none of these things. Marla Lowrey, current PTI student I would like to take this opportunity to extend thanks and my appreciation to all of you for everything you have done to help me with my education here at PTI. The staff is wonderful, very supportive and always helpful to my needs. I greatly appreciate the help that Avi gave me in sprucing up my cover letter and resume' in preparation of mailing them out to reach possible law firms for an internship. Equally as important and much appreciated was the offer to draft a letter of recommendation by Stephen. Having no experience in the field, it is always so much more solid to have someone with credentials to recommend you for a position. You have both been so helpful and supportive during this "leap" I took while still fairly early in the program. I just wanted to drop you all a thank you note, your efforts are very much appreciated. Keep up the great work!! I couldn't have done it without PTI and mainly all your efforts. Margaret Probst , PTI graduate
The quality of the course material was excellent
and easy to read and understand. The professors are knowledgable, approachable
and genuinely interested in each student's education. Response from
professors and PTI staff was immediate and helpful. Maube Mor , PTI graduate I found my PTI education to be invaluable. I gained knowledge in many areas of law which helped me do my job better. I was able to take on more of my attorney's research and daily work so she was able to deal with more cases. She often expressed her confidence in my ability to deal with assembling discovery materials, drafting affidavits, complaints, witness disclosures and other pleadings. Having a knowledge of the basics helped me know what questions needed to be asked of clients, what kind of information needed to be obtained and basic legalities of both. Of course I am not an attorney, but knowing the basics gave me enough knowledge to be a sounding board for my attorney as she assembled cases and plotted strategies and arguments. These classes have given me more confidence in my overall abilites and employability and open me to a whole new way of learning and growing now and in the future. I will definitely take more online classes. I liked the live lectures, interaction with instructors and other students, staff support, message boards, and ease of understanding what I always considered 'dry and boring'. I feel very differently now. The courseware is wonderful! It is easy to read and understand. The assignments often dealt with current events, and in addition, the news review gives great insight into the world events. I found the courseware to be a great strength and so much better than the standard texts. The class, staff and instructors felt like family and if anyone had a problem or needed help, there was always someone available. The flexibility was essential to me because I was also working two jobs, taking classes and I do have a life besides. I found no 'downside' to any part of this program. It has been one of the best things I ever did for myself. The first thing in my mind was the willingness of the PTI staff to initiate first contact with me after my application. I knew I was in a wonderful program when I was contacted by Mr. Cohen to inquire about my understanding of the system before I had ever encountered problems. Mr. Katz was wonderful in calling me Easter weekend when I had made inquiry about the school by phone. Response time by the instructors both during class and after has been excellent. Angela Cavallaro, PTI graduate I have been told by my professor during my first term at college that I have an unusually good sense of the law for so early in my legal studies. I would have to attribute that to the foundation that was set by my studies at ParalegalTech Institute. I had received numerous compliments from my fellow classmates, with the way my legal writings were not only worded but laid out, as well as from my professor. The credits that I have received at ParalegalTech also served me well as they have been applied to numerous classes at college, and will help me earn my degree sooner. My experience at PTI was very rewarding. I knew I wanted a career change and found PTI. Never taking an online course before, I really didn’t know what to expect. The courseware has been very effective. Due to the fact that I have not worked within the legal field, the way the hypotheticals were presented, it was extremely easy for me to be able to grasp the concepts. The interactions and the links to the case law provided were also extremely useful. I experienced the classroom and enjoyed every minute of it. The visual aids were good and the interaction between classmates was extremely enjoyable. I learned a lot not only from the teaching staff but also my classmates… My hat’s off to the instructors for their patience and guidance and their ability to simplify the law. I know how extremely difficult it is to be able to put things in laymen’s terms when you know your job the way these instructors know the law, however they do a fantastic job of having that capability. I have found all of my classes very interesting and with the law there are so many gray areas that could be mundane or boring... they have found a way to keep the students interest... I have always found any questions either asked in e-mail or on the message boards have been answered immediately. It has always astounded me that whoever was e-mailed would answer right away. Tammy Nantz, PTI graduate I enjoyed my experience with PTI very much… The teachers
were very knowledgeable and I believe I received a top notch education.
Every one at PTI has been extremely helpful. The placement assistance
system has been a great help. Lynne Jenson, PTI graduate The experience has been great. As with all good teaching tools it’s
taught me how much I don’t know about the law and then provided
me with the tools to research those areas. I’ve also developed
relationships with my classmates, such that I have a support group when
I felt overwhelmed keeping up with my professional schedule and classes.
The instructors have been positive throughout the process, sharing not
only their knowledge of the law but their own experiences. Lexis is a
marvelous tool affording me the opportunity to research not only case
law but treatises and statutes. Sara Munoz, PTI graduate I really enjoyed my experience. The teachers were very helpful and
understanding. I learned a lot from this place. Vincia St. Jean, PTI graduate I was right in choosing this program for the challenge! Excellent lectures. Great program. Rachel Pelletier, PTI graduate, former Software Engineer I have learned so much and I have barely begun...Thank you so much for being such a great teacher... I love the classes. I love the courseware too. Deborah Kalish, current student I am very impressed with the entire organization, from the material to the quick responses and personal attention. This is a very professionally run program... I am really enjoying the lectures in my den. It is an awesome way to learn. It is like being in a real class only much more personal an intimate... This format and instructors are great! It is easy to comprehend the topic and being able to ask questions in real time and learn from everyone else in the chat text while the classes goes on is great... Everyone at PTI seems to take the time to make everyone feel their concerns are top priority. The answers come back very fast. They make it easy to succeed... My PTI education has helped me thus far fulfill a lifelong dream to be better versed in the study of Law and compliments my other abilities and education. Johnnie Dickey, PTI graduate I look forward to the assignments and the lectures each week. The chance to express our opinions is such a great learning tool for each of us of view another individual's way of thinking. Sonia Da Costa, PTI graduate Thanks for your help! I appreciate it. I really enjoy the lectures. They're funny, interesting and informative. I enjoy coming to your class more than my [university] class. Michelle Berson, current student I thought the class was outstanding. As you may know, I've taken "live" paralegal classes as well, and this one really distilled the information, cut out all the distraction. I really got a lot out of it. Thanks. |
