3-way craps A bet made in units of 3 with one unit on 2, one unit on 3, and one unit on 12. This is a horn bet without the bet on 11.
Aces A Bet that the next roll will be the total sum of 2
Any Craps A one-toss bet on all of the Craps numbers with one unit, or groups of units, bet on the 2, 3 or 12.
Any Seven A one-toss bet on any of the possible combinations of seven.

Backline Same as Don't Pass Line
Barred Number Can be either the 2 or the 12. Creates a standoff or push when betting Don't Pass or Don't Come.
Bet Numbers Across A group of five bets on all the Place numbers other than the Point number.
Big Eight A bet made on an 8 that it will be rolled before a 7 comes up
Big Six A bet made on an 8 that it will be rolled before a 7 comes up.
Big Red Placing a bet on Any Seven
Boxcars Betting on the 12.
Box Point Shooter's number: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.
Box man The casino employee who supervises the Craps game and deposits money into the drop-box.
Buy Bet A Place bet made at true odds rather than at Place odds. .

Chop A term, which designates dice action of win-lose, win-lose, win-lose, etc.
Come Bet A bet made after the come out roll but in other respects exactly like a pass line bet.
Come-out Roll The shooters initial throw of the dice after a Pass Line decision.
Crap Common name for the game of dice. Also the name given to a toss of 2, 3 or 12.
Craps The game or the dice.
Crap Out The numbers 2,3 or 12 on the first roll.

Don't Come An even money bet. The same as Don't Pass bets, after the shooter's Point is established.
Don't Pass An even money bet that the shooter will not toss his Point number again before tossing a 7. The same as Don't Come, except that the shooter's Point is the Point number for the entire table.
Don't Pass Bet An even money bet that the dice will lose. That a 2 or 3 will be rolled on the first roll, or that a 7 will come up before the shooter repeats his Point. The same as a Don't Come bet except that the bet can be made only before a new shooter rolls.
Double Odds A bet permitted in some casinos in which the player takes an odds bet at twice his/her original wager on the line.

Easy Number Any even number that appears in any combination other than as an actual pair.

Field Bet A one-toss bet that 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 will be the next roll of the dice.
Flat Bets The type of wagers in which the player bets the same amount on each roll win or lose.
Front Line The same as the Pass Line.
Full Odds The correct odds.

Hard way An even number that appears exactly as a pair. Two 4s are called a Hard eight.
High / Low A one-toss bet on both the 2 and the 12, with two units bet.
Horn Bet A four-unit bet that covers all three of the Craps numbers (2, 3 or 12) and also the 11.
Horn high bet A bet made in multiples of 5 with one unit on 3 of the horn numbers, and two units on the "high" number (number 12).

Lay Bet Limit poker is any game in which there is a fixed limit on how much you can bet or raise in any round. Limit games usually offer either fixed-sized bets for different betting rounds or spread limits, in which there is a minimum and maximum bet for each round.
Lay Odds A blind bet is considered a live blind if the player is allowed to raise even if no one else raises first.
Layout The physical playing area in any game, usually printed on felt in the center of all tables.
Line bet A bet on the "pass line" or the "don't pass line" is called a "line" bet. These bets are placed at the beginning of the game, before the "come out" roll. The shooter is required to make a line bet in order to shoot the dice.

A 7 or 11 on the Come-out roll.

Odds Bet An additional bet which can be made by players having Pass Line, Come, Don't Pass or Don't Come bets, that the shooter will make his Point.
Odds off An odd bets that are "not working". Odds bets can be called "off" by the player at any time, but are left on the felt until the bet is resolved. Also, come odds bets are usually "off" during the come out roll, unless the bettor asks to have the odds bets "working". Come odd bets that are "off" will be returned to the player if the line bet loses on the come out roll. Don't come odds generally work on the come-out roll.
One-roll Bet A bet decided on the next roll, as the Field, 7, 11 or any Craps.

Pass Line Bet

An even money bet that the dice will win either by coming up 7 or 11 on the first roll or by having the shooter's point repeat before a 7 is thrown. The same as a come bet, except that it can be made only before a new shooter rolls.

Place bet A bet that a particular number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) will be rolled before a 7 comes up.
Point If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is rolled on the come out roll, then this number becomes the "point". The shooter must roll the point again, before rolling a seven, in order for the dice to "pass". A "come point" is just the number that is serving as a point for a come bet.
 
Right bettor A player who bets that the dice will pass.

Single odds An odd bet that is about as large as the original pass/come bet. Some casinos allow "double odds", or even larger odds bets.
Snake Eyes betting on the number 2.
 
Working bets that are "live" (i.e., can be resolved with the next roll) are said to be working. Generally, place bets, buy/lay bets, and come odds bets do not work on the come-out unless you tell the dealers to "make them work." All other bets (e.g., Hard way) work unless you call them "off" (i.e., tell the dealers you do not want them to "work").
Whirl bet a bet that the next roll will be 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, made in multiples of 5, with one unit on each of the numbers.
