What to expect: The lobby features leather Art Deco-style sofas, wrought-iron floor lamps, and a recessed blue ceiling painted with clouds.

Insider tip: The Canadian Centre for Architecture, 3 blocks away, is housed in one of the city’s most beautiful mansions and has a lovely sculpture garden. Admission is complimentary on Thursday evenings.
