guides as they explore the rich and vast territory of the Big Bend! From
spectacular sunsets to intriguing geological formations, our tours offer a
close encounter with some remarkable landscapes. Our tours are highly
interpretive and offer the visitor an opportunity to learn more about the Big
Bend. Trips leave daily from our office conveniently located in Study Butte on
Farm Road 170 just outside the west entrance of Big Bend National Park. Select

Apache Trail Join us as
we travel to a native American site and explore the remains of a past
encampment. Look closely for the markings of a previous civilization.
Your guide will offer an intriguing insight into the ways
of our Native
Ancestors. Some walking is required.

Camp 360 (our
most popular tour!) Journey with the
Far Flung Outdoor Centers to one of the best views in the Big Bend area! This
tour exceeds expectations every time and is offered exclusively through Far
Flung.We'll traverse a 4-wheel drive trail, stopping along the way to see 80
million year old fossils, old mining sites and a variety of rare Big Bend
cacti! Cameras required!

Ten
Bits Tour (New for 2005!)
Wander the land once roamed by dinosaurs.
Explore a shelter cave called home by our Native Ancestors. This
tour covers the best of Big Bend's natural and human history - from mining
sites to dinosaur remains. This is the ultimate desert experience
encompassing themes from some of our more popular tours. Some walking
required. Part of this tour uses a National Park paleontologist as a
interpretive guide. Lunch included.
A portion of this tour includes some moderate
walking.

Lone Star
Mine Re-live the "boomtown" days of Big
Bend's past. Walk among the ruins of fortunes won and lost. Marvel at the
ingenuity of our early settlers. A great tour for those that want to combine a
great view with the mining history of Big Bend.

daily at 9 p.m. and 2 p.m. This trip departs from both Lajitas and Study
Butte!
'Round the
Bend For the first time visitor to Big
Bend or those that want more of the living history of the area, this easy
adventure explores old ruins, geological formations and great views along the
Ross Maxwell and Maverick roads. Includes lunch.
Prices... All Day $105/person Leaves
daily at 9 a.m.
Desert by Dark Soak in
the solitude as we journey through the backcountry to explore the richness of
this vast country. We'll take night vision instruments and travel to "Moon
Valley", a stark landscape where the early astronauts learned to driver the
moon rover. A great introduction to Big Bend geology. This trip is available
seasonally. Call our office for departure
times.
