A photographic exhibition based on historical images from the John Oxley Library, portraying the way in which Australian South Sea Islanders arrived, lived and worked in Queensland in the nineteenth century.

Commemorates one of Brisbane's most influential art galleries which operated between 1950 and 1972. The Gallery's archive consists of scrap books, photograph albums, correspondence files, catalogues of some of the exhibitions and artists' biographies.
