northStudio.com is currently looking for a full-time intermediate web developer/designer responsible for the creation of web sites from designs created by the design department or yourself, from the initial planning and mockup phase, to the content development phase and through to the sites launch.
Duties will include:
- Building Brochure Style web sites in a Mac or PC environment
- Creating standards compliant sites using Macromedia Dreamweaver Templates
- Writing external Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for all sites developed Macromedia Flash movie creation<
- Working within a team adhering to project plans and schedules
- Ensuring quality and timeliness of output
- Managing time to deal with a variety of clients concurrently
As an intermediate web developer your qualifications should include:
- Completed graphic design degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong design portfolio, displaying the full range of your skills
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Excellent coding of standards compliant CSS, HTML, XHTML
- Competent creation of Macromedia Flash movies
- Excellent artistic eye
- Attention to details
- Understanding of the use of design and how it affects users
- Understanding of current Internet standards, including Web browsers and browser specifications
- Basic technical knowledge to facilitate working with programmers in integrating their code with web interfaces
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Desire to learn and keep up with industry standards
- Ability to work directly with clients in a professional manner
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including well developed verbal and written English
