According to the Associated Press, environmental regulators say builders at most construction sites inspected in Alaska last year violated federal waterway protection rules.

Lung association gives Alaska mixed grade (KTVA)
According to the Associated Press, the American Lung Association says Alaska is making progress in controlling tobacco use. A new report indicates that smoking by children has dropped. Spokesman Paul Billings says that between 1995 and 2003, Alaska youth smoking was cut by 50 percent.
