There are two re-compression chambers in Phuket, one five kilometres away in Patong, the other in Phuket Town. There is a public hospital in Patong too, plus private international hospitals in Phuket Town.

All the boat operators carry radios, emergency oxygen and evacuation procedures onboard. Qualified divemasters take four divers each. However, we do recommend divers take out their own dive insurance policy.

Andaman Seaview Hotel provides each room with safety deposit boxes, free of charge, and there is CCTV and security guards on the premises 24 hours per day. The Karon police office is next door.
