What is LINNet? The Libraries in the Northern Territory Network (LINNet) is a consortium of over 30 libraries based throughout the NT. LINNet members include public and community libraries, secondary school and college libraries, and the Northern Territory Library & Information Service. ![]() |
The Virtua Library Management System is utilised by the LINNet consortium to manage and maintain a single combined database of the holdings of each of the member libraries. By sharing a central system the libraries benefit through economies of scale and resource sharing. The LINNet database is an extremely valuable resource, providing all Territorians with access to the documentary heritage of the Northern Territory. The library management system is maintained and supported by the Technology, Development & Support Group of the Northern Territory Library and Information Service on behalf of LINNet. |
