Lime Tree House, built of mellow red brick under a pantile roof, set in gardens behind ivy covered walls, offers bed and breakfast in a choice of two rooms: a double with a king size bed and large bathroom with a handsome cast-iron roll-top bath, and a twin room with a Japanese sitz bath and shower.
Both can become family rooms with the addition of a child's bed or a cot.
Both have TV and courtesy tray.
There is a large sitting / dining room with log fire, TV and stereo.
Furnished in an interesting mix of old and new, the house is as attractive and comfortable for winter breaks as it is for summer holidays.
Overlooking an enchanting garden in which guests are invited to wander, and full morning sunlight, these are rooms in which to wake up and feel ready for anything, especially our full English breakfast made from organic, free range and local produce.
All linen and towels are 100% cotton.
The gardens and gallery
The walled Wild Garden, once a farmyard, treads that fine line between garden and nature.
The garden has a semi formal structure and there are many interesting plants including numerous white flowers and a fernery.
Wild flowers include field poppies, corn cockle, heartsease, knapweed, sorrel and speedwell.
Bio-diversity is encouraged to provide food and habitat for as much wildlife as can find its way here.
A wide range of birds live, nest and breed in this small garden, and butterflies, moths and bees are abundant.
While in the Wild Garden, visit the Barn Gallery with its exhibition of watercolours, oils and ceramics.
Many of the drawings and paintings are done in the garden.
Inspiration is drawn from the Suffolk landscape and dream imagery.
