Fishing Reports
December

First of all Sportfish Extreme wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!
December is here and soon hopefully some line stretching game fish will follow.
So far the Rat Kingfish are in reasonable numbers from Jervis Bay to the North coast of NSW. These guys are great fun on spin tackle but be sure to measure them carefully and keep within the bag limits.
Yellowfin are still being caught up and down the coast but unfortunately they are still hanging out wide.
No reports of Black Marlin yet but I'm sure it wont be too much longer.
Jew reports keep coming from the north coast but it seems unusually quiet for this time of year down south, But I guess when pro fishermen drag nets through schools of them and take up to 8 tonne in as many days from one area its bound to have an impact, I fail to see why this should be allowed. I would love to see the Shoalhaven River protected from commercial fisherman and I'm sure I speak for 99% of the south coast who lives and visits the region.
But I'm not going to end this piece on a dismal note, lets all prepare for the new season, it's going to be a ripper so get out there and give it a go!! I'm already hearing about good sized hoods and a few hammerhead sharks. Flying fish, blue bottles and the graceful sunfish have been spotted in good numbers on the south coast so the action cant be too far behind them.
So Merry Christmas and an action packed new year!!!
