LDR receives $6 million as one of ten "Katrina
Aid Today" grantees
Lutheran Disaster
Response has received $6 million, named as one
of ten social service and voluntary
organizations to make up a national consortium
called "Katrina Aid Today". The focus of the
group is case management. (Story)

Lutheran Disaster
Response (LDR)
is a
collaborative ministry of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and The
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). Following
a major domestic disaster, LDR seeks to minister
to the urgent needs of the people affected
through hardship grants, volunteer coordination,
spiritual and emotional care, and long-term
recovery efforts.
