Color Communication

How does color communicate to different age groups, different nationalities and different genders? Colorcom can provide the answers with extensive statistical data from over 50,000 people worldwide.

Since 1997, we've been gathering data from all over the world. The current database of approximately half of a million entries is a compilation of demographic information based on nationality, gender, and age with respect to color associations and color preferences. As such, it has become the first database of its kind.

Demographic data is available for a reasonable fee. Portions of the entire database are also available for purchase. If you need more information, we also offer additional research and analytical documentation.

Demographic data can be provided in two different ways.

1. A specific color
Searches can be based on any single color, such as "red." For example, if you need data on how females in the United States perceive "red", we can provide the answers. (To date, we have input from over 9,000 American women.)

2. Symbolic term
Searches can be based on a symbolic term such as "powerful." For example, if you want to know which colors are associated with "powerful" by males in North America, we search the database and provide you with the answers. (Note: Other demographic information can be added to the search parameters- for example, a more specific search may be done for all the colors that Canadian males, ages 25-34, associate with "powerful.")
