WELCOME TO CAROLINA. WELCOME TO THE WORLD.
Welcome to this gateway site that offers links to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's rich array of internationally-oriented departments, centers, institutes, programs and resources. Together, these give our University extraordinary strength in research, teaching and service.
Why is internationalization a priority?**
What are our goals?
What's going on?
Internationalization is one of Carolina's six priorities, as stated in the University's Academic Plan, which serves as our five-year road map to guide and shape future decision making for the entire University. As the associate provost for international affairs, I have the privilege of leading this dynamic effort to extend the University's international presence and global perspective.
To succeed in this effort requires close and active collaboration with all international units on campus. An important symbol of Carolina's international mission is the new Global Education Center. This building, which broke ground in Fall of 2004, will be the intellectual hub of the University's international activities.
I encourage you to explore the international resources that UNC-Chapel Hill has to offer and welcome any thoughts you may have about how to further strengthen Carolina's connection to the world.
