Creating Change: Building an Unlimited Future
United Cerebral Palsy Annual Conference
April 26-29, 2006
Peabody Hotel
Little Rock, Arkansas

You are invited to attend our conference and be part of 3 days of high-level interactions with professionals from the disability community and from the UCP nationwide network of affiliates, including families and people with disabilities, volunteers, executive directors, board members, as well as program staff.

Since our inception in 1949, United Cerebral Palsy has been committed to change and progress for people with disabilities at the local, state and national level. Today, we are creating a world that respects and celebrates the diversity of human expression and identity where all people may fully participate in every facet of society.

This year’s conference will focus on Creating Change for our future. Support and funding are changing; expectations are different; leadership is aging and we recognize a need to not only address the future, but take control of it.

  • Leading change, not responding to it. Each of us and our organizations need to take a leadership role through a clear vision and smart strategies. This is Creating Change.
  • Building leadership for the future. Where is the new leadership? How do we nurture the current leadership and mentor the next generation? New energy and strength come from training current leaders as well as preparing for leadership change. This is Creating Change.
  • Creating "change" organizations that can adapt and grow. Our organizations must be responsive to the diverse needs of people with disabilities in a shifting economic and cultural environment. We must be the tools of change, working with all stakeholders to break down barriers and assure communities are accessible. This is Creating Change.
  • Creating change, changing outcomes. Changing the future will improve our ability to create change in legislatures, media, workplaces, churches, and schools. It also will increase our collaborative work with allies and build momentum in our communities to effect real change and educate all of us on equality of opportunity. This is Creating Change.

Please take a moment to view the sponsorship opportunities, conference program advertising opportunities, partnership opportunities and exhibitor registration form and see which opportunity fits your company. We look forward to a successful conference and hope very much that you will join us as we strive to create life without limits for people with disabilities.
