| Here's a sample of some early spring fishing in the Port Clinton area of Lake Erie. These were caught in shallow water off Catawba Island on a heavily- overcast day in April. At this time of the year the water is still very cold so a slow presentation is needed to catch these fish. Jigs tipped with live minnows is always popular. But in recent years a number of artificial baits is proving to be successful. |
