Vietnam and the Presidency:
Friday, March 10 and Saturday March 11, 2006.

This is the first national conference sponsored by all the Presidential Libraries--from Hoover to Clinton--and the National Archives. Leading historians, key policymakers of the era, and journalists who covered the war will examine the antecedents of the war, presidential decision-making, public opinion, lessons learned, and the influence of the Vietnam experience on subsequent U.S. foreign policy. New Exhibit to Open March 17 
On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2006, the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will open "A Journey Home – John F. Kennedy and Ireland"
a special, new exhibit that explores President Kennedy’s relationship to his ancestral homeland.

Handmade and Heartfelt
The Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library brings in this year’s holiday season with a special exhibit of gifts presented to President John F. Kennedy during his presidency. Handmade and Heartfelt: Folk Art from the Collections of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will be on display beginning November 25th, 2005. through the fall of 2006.

John F. Kennedy  in World War II
The Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library marks the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II this year with a special exhibit on John F. Kennedy’s military service in the U.S. Navy in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. The new exhibit, which features a large selection of never-before-seen materials, some on temporary loan by members of President Kennedy’s immediate family, runs through March 5, 2006. Dedicated on October 20, 1979, the library is one of eleven Presidential Libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration a United States Government agency. Open daily 9 am-5 pm; Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Admission for adults $10; seniors 62 years and older and students $8; children ages 13-17 $7; children ages 12 and under free. Off Morrissey Blvd., next to UMass Boston campus. Free shuttle service from JFK/UMass T Stop on the Red Line. Free parking. The Museum is fully handicapped accessible.
