InsureandGo is the web’s favourite travel insurer. That’s the claim it can now make following the phenomenal growth it achieved in 2004.
Continuing the company's phenomenal growth pattern since its launch in September 2000, 2004 proved to be another highly successful year for travel insurance specialist InsureandGo.
Over the last year the company achieved a turnover of £25million – £3million over its target. The company also passed the millionth unique customer mark for the year, while its website claimed over 50 per cent of policy sales ensuring insureandgo.com continues to be the web's favourite travel insurer.
Perry Wilson, director of InsureandGo, said: “Entering our fifth year in business with a turnover of just over £25 million is a fantastic achievement. Couple this with the fact that one million people have insured their travels with us and we are certainly one of, if not the number one direct specialist provider of travel insurance in the UK.”

In early 2004 the company moved into the general insurance arena with the 100% acquisition of Essex based broker CIG Insurance Services Ltd. The InsureandGo product range has been steadily growing and now includes motor, home, commercial, life and motorcycle insurance plus highly competitive motor breakdown cover.
Perry says: “For the past year we have been raising awareness of these new products using only direct marketing and directory advertising. Results to date have been very positive with conversion way above industry averages. 2005 will see us pushing key products, such as motor, using more mainstream media so watch this space.”
The continued growth of the company, which currently employs a 170 strong workforce on the travel insurance side, has meant it has had to expand into two new premises alongside its existing call centre head office based in Braintree, Essex.
2004 also saw InsureandGo pick up its first two awards - ‘Large Broker of the Year' at the Insurance Times Awards and ‘Most Effective Use of Marketing at the Insurance Age awards.
Perry continues: “We are going from strength to strength and winning awards such as these just shows how close we are to establishing InsureandGo as a big player in the insurance market.”
