Creative Arts Competition Handbooks are in!

Want to enter something in the 2005 Creative Arts competition? Here's how:

To order a Creative Arts Handbook, send a check or money order in the amount of $5 made payable to the State Fair of Texas.

The registration forms are the yellow sheets at the back of the book.

• Information regarding delivery of entries is listed in the rules book and on the Web site.

• Cooking contests are held during the Fair and are listed on the Competition Calendar. There is no pre-registration for these contests.

Where is the Creative Arts Building? The building sits on Adm. Nimitz Drive, with the Cotton Bowl on its 'back doorstep.' Ribbon winners in more than 1,100 categories, including canning, quilts, photography and crafts are artfully displayed in their 1,700 square foot home. Daily contests before live audiences, cooking demos and a butter sculpture are included in the mix.
