General Information

OVERVIEW

In just 15 years, the State Fair of Texas Auto Show has grown from an 84,000 sq. ft. exhibit to a whopping 263,000 sq. ft. venue that includes two halls, a separate truck section and external display opportunities. It is one of the Fair's most popular attractions, drawing 85 percent of total attendance.

Average State Fair of Texas attendance – More than 3 million visitors each year.

The State Fair of Texas has a proven track record for successful marketing opportunities during 24 days of non-stop fun. Mid-week promotions and evening attractions, such as the Chevy Main Stage, the Starlight Parade and the multimedia TXU Energy Extravaganza, make the State Fair of Texas a three-week/four-weekend-long promotional bonanza.

MEDIA COVERAGE

The State Fair and Dallas have enjoyed international attention from numerous automotive debuts, including early '90s introductions of the Lincoln Mark VIII and Ford's Mustang and Explorer, to more recent reveals from the Ford F-150, Toyota's Tundra and Echo, the Chevrolet Silverado and Suburban, and GMC's Sierra and Yukon XL.

Throughout the decade, the State Fair tallies an annual average of 12 to 15 hours of local television news coverage and countless print articles in the local media. On the national front, CNN, The Los Angeles Times, Good Morning America, The Today Show, 20/20, Newsweek, Bon Appétit and The New York Times have spotlighted the Great State Fair of Texas.
