Ice Fishing Clothes

When Ice Fishing you have to give good consideration to what you wear. With the cold temperatures you have to be warm to enjoy your Ice Fishing trip so wear the right clothes.

Some things to consider include:

Boots

Look for a good skidoo boot that is designed to keep you toasty warm and comfortable at tempretures rated for -70° C and up.

Gloves

Look for a good waterproof, breathable glove insert with reinforced non-slip palm and fingers for maximum adhesion so you don't have to keep taking off your gloves to do things. Look for Wrist and gauntlet adjustment to shield against cold and moisture, gloves should be flexible and shaped well with articulated fingers for easy movement.

Snow Suit

Your snow suit should be waterproof, windproof, breathable, thermally insulated one-piece ski suit, heavy duty front zipper with snap button cover to keep out the cold. Reinforced knees for added durability, reinforced ankles with a durable construction.

Hat

A good knitted cotton hat that covers your ears is a must when out moving from one fishing hole to another.

Sweater

A Crew neck 100% Woolen Sweater that is easy to move in and not to heavy to wear, make sure it is not itchy and that is it not tight a loose fitting sweater has room for your body heat.

T-Shirt

A Crew neck base-layer T-Shirt made of a high performance breathable thermal fabric that helps regulate your core temperature in moderate to cold weather.

Long Johns

Long Johns are a base-layer pants made of a high performance breathable thermal fabric that helps regulate your core temperature in moderate to cold weather.

Socks

Look for a very durable sock with additional reinforcement in the heel and toe areas, a sock with Cotton/ Nylon/ Spandex construction for warmth, moisture wicking, and comfort. Stretchy ribbed top with a cuff around heel which will eliminate bunching and hold the sock in place.
