The Online DMV Test is only available to students that take the Learners Permit (DATA) course on our system. This is required by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

When you complete your Learners Permit course you will offered the choice to take the DMV test.
To get their learners permit quickly and save hours at the DMV, many students who have already taken the DATA course take it over on our system so they can take the DMV exam online. Especially those in very busy counties.
If you have never had a drivers license before and are getting your first drivers license in Florida then you must complete the First Time Driver DATA course (also known as TLSAE - Traffic Law Substance Abuse Education)
and the DMV Test.
When you complete your DMV Test you can elect to get your certificate by
first class mail or via email!
The DMV exam for a Florida Learner Permit (like all our traffic school courses) is approved in all Florida counties.

If you have completed your DATA course on 123driving.com or HighSchoolDriver.com
then login with your username to take the DMV exam.
Here's a summary of how the DMV exam works:
- The DMV exam is 40 questions
- 20 of the questions are road signs
- 20 of the questions are road rules
- You are given 50 seconds to asnwer each question
- If necessary, you can take the test over for $14.95

the florida drivers manual before you take the DMV exam.
If you are over 18, never had a drivers license, and getting your first Florida drivers license you can do the following:
- Complete the DATA course
- Take the DMV exam online
- Make an appointment at the DMV to take your driving test
- Get your florida operators license (full driver license)

Yes, The online DMV exam is provided by the American Safety Council and is certified by the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles.
How can I get my traffic school certificate
When you complete your DATA course you will be offered the choice to take the DMV exam for your Florida learners permit.
Your Choices are:
1. Take the DMV exam Now
2. Take the DMV exam Later - come by later and login
3. No, I do not want to take the DMV Exam.
If you indicate that you will NOT take the DMV exam online then you will be offered several choices to receive your certificate.

If you select 1 or 2 indicating you wish to take the DMV exam online your certificate will be held for three days. The assumption is that you will complete
the DMV exam and we can send you one certificate with both the DATA course and DMV exam.
If you do not take the DMV exam within 3 days we will mail your certificate to you. You can always come back, take the DMV exam and get a new certificate with both
the DATA course and DMV exam.

How does the email certificate work?
We will generate a PDF file of your certificate with both your Learners Permit (DATA) course and DMV Test results and send you an email with the PDF attached.
In addition to the PDF file which you open and print with Adobe Acrobat the email will include a link to your traffic school certificate.
The goal is for you to print your certificate so you can take it to the DMV office when you go to get your learners permit.
