 We
cannot sell sport-caught halibut, like the really nice
looking specimen in the hands of a happy angler at left,
but this picture gives you an idea what kind of size
fish we not infrequently see off Sitka in Alaska waters.
A more realistic picture of what our fishermen see is
similar to the picture below. These guys have just
pulled in their lines, and are beginning the work of
preparing them for ice and then the run back to Sitka
where we process them for you.
Halibut retains its high quality taste easily if
properly cared for on its way to you. Our
fishermen take expert care of these fish to make sure
they remain cold and in top taste condition.
