Search Engine Optimization
Ok, right now we're going to be
downright blunt.
If your commercial web site's performance
is not within the top results on the search engines, there's no
point in having one. Cancel your domain name, and notify your
hosting company. You're fooling yourself.
Or...
You
could shell out a few bucks a month, bucks that will be returned
to you tenfold, and have made a very wise business decision. You'll
be ranked on the very first page of major search engines for keywords
that people actually search for, and the traffic, sales, and cash
will roll right in.
It is as simple as that.
You can't afford not to work on your search engine presence.
A good ranking and high traffic is what separates the big money
makers, from child's play.

you rather have?

Search engine optimization has two main components:
1) Strategic Keyword Placement
Search Engine Positioning begins with choosing the right keywords
and promoting them properly throughout the web site. A web site
won't get a good search engine ranking unless it has site-related
keywords placed in areas such as the meta tags, image alternate
text, web page title, domain name, visible page content, among
many others. There are many other guidelines that must be followed.
Basically what it comes down to is providing your web site visitor
and/or potential customer with the most relevant content, and
scanning a web page for keywords can help the search engines determine
your content.
2) Link Popularity
The second major method of search engine optimization is link
popularity development. Link popularity refers to the amount of
quality web sites that have links pointing back to yours. The
more quality links there are, the better search engine ranking
your site will achieve. This is an extremely important aspect
of any search engine optimization campaign and can have dramatic
results immediately after completion - one of our clients achieved
a near 600% return on investment.
The sheer number of incoming links
to your site is not enough, however. If Site A is linking to you,
search engines will look at what web sites are linking to Site
A, and what web sites Site A is linking TO. Are there mostly graphics
linking to Site A? Or are other web sites providing a paragraph
of testimonials and related content to the site they link to?
