Bangkok tour
takes you the Jim Thomson's Thai House (King of Thai Silk; and Suan
Pakkard Palace which was opened to public in 1959, famous for its several lacquer
pavillions. Moreover, it contains many collections of ancient Thai arts and artifacts. (also
known as the Lacquer Pavillion). Then continue to the golden-teakwood palace of
Vimanmek Mansion, used to be the Royal palace, and nowadays opened as a
Museum (opened daily from 09:30-15:15).

Jim Thompson House
is a house belong to the late James H.W. Thompson who came to Thailand as an officer in the US force during World War II. The name Jim Thompson became synonymous with Thai silk. He had arranged for dismantling of ancient teak houses from various place and reassembled on the bank of Sansap Canal in Bangkok. He mysteriously disappeared during a visit to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia in 1967.
