Car Accidents
A car accident can be quite a harrowing experience. Many things can go
wrong to cause an accident. And anything can happen in an accident.
Whether it is speeding or reckless driving or even just the lack of
attention paid to the task of driving, accidents happen everyday to people
like you and me.
Speeding can be one of the more dangerous ways that an accident can
occur. With today's high performance cars such as the Chevy Camaro or
Corvette, or the smaller foreign cars like the Nissan 300z or the Toyota
Supra, it can be all too easy to step on the pedal and watch the
speedometer climb. It's dangerous though and many accidents on the roads today
are caused by speeding.
But more and more these days, car accidents are caused by people not
paying attention. In some cases, the driver was merely changing the
channel on their new XM satellite radio or OnStar device or talking on their
cell phones. In some cities like New York or Chicago, hands free cell
phone activity is the only way you can use a cell phone while driving.
An alert and cautious driver can avoid most situations that cause
accidents on the roads. Be sure to watch your blind spots and assume that
everyone is about to do something stupid. Anticipating dumb maneuvers is
a surefire way to avoid them. When you see someone turning into your
lane, assume that they don't see you and when they really don't, you are
prepared.
