HOW-TO
Basic Function:

Your eMail Guard feature is activated with the virus and spam filtering protection on. Most of your e-mail will continue to flow into your e-mail Inbox as normal.

Junk and suspicious messages will go to your Message Center. Messages will be available to you for 14 days. You may safely review these messages. Messages quarantined will not count against your email quota. If you have messages quarantined you will receive a notification every 7 days. If a virus is quarantined you will receive an immediate notification. All notifications are sent to your Inbox.

Access Your Message Center:

Accessing your message center allows you to view a list of all quarantined e-mail messages.

Log into GCI's WebMail as normal:

Click on the eMail Guard Tab, this will take you to your Message Center.

You will see the list of quarantined e-mail, both virus and filtered messages.

If you received no viruses or filtered e-mail the alert sections will not appear.

Select the message by clicking on the subject line.

Click on the Remove button to delete the message.
Click on the Deliver button to forward the message to your normal e-mail Inbox.

You Choose What To Filter:

What are the filters and what do they mean?

How do I adjust the settings for the filters?

By default your filter sensitivity settings are set at Moderate.
