How to Select the Right Charter

Its important to investigate your charter to find the best possible experience for your boating vacation or salmon fishing getaway.
There are many types of charters and you don't have to go far to find great fishing or kayaking.
The east coast of Vancouver Island B.C. is one of the most popular saltwater sportfishing tours and marine cruising locations in the world.
Charter rates can range from $500 to $1500 a day for a private charter vessel. Most charters require a 50% deposit with a cancellation policy of 21 days advanced notice.
Sea condition call is made the morning of the charter (canceled due to weather conditions).

Find out what's included such as equipment, food, beverages and licenses. Make sure your charter has up to date safety equipment, life jackets, radios, fire extinguishers etc.

If you book your charter earlier in the year call and confirm the details before you leave home, fishing restrictions may change.

For the most part pick the charter that best suites you, the time you have, the money your willing to spend and the distance your going to travel.
Some fishing charters and boat tours are accessible only by seaplane or boat, sometimes several hours from the nearest store or hospital leaving you somewhat stranded in case of an emergency.
